Drive to visit Shuiguan Great Wall.The Great Wall was built and maintained between the 7th century BC and 17th century BC. It was originally built to protect the empire from northern invaders. The Great Wall stretches through the countryside over deserts, hills and plains for 8,851.8 kilometers.
Built during the Ming Dynasty, Shuiguan Great Wall was part of the military defensive system of the Badaling Great Wall. And the part of Wall is not far from Badaling and Juyongguan Great Wall. Although it is not so famous as Badaling Great Wall, Shuiguan Great Wall has its own characters. The wall is renowned for its precipitous cliffs and oddly shaped rocks.
