Drive to visit Tanzhe Temple. With a history of 1,700 years, Tanzhe Temple is the oldest Buddhist temple in Beijing. The present building in the temple are the style of Ming and Qing Dynasties. There are many ancient trees and pagodas from different historical periods in the temple.

Then visit Jietai Temple. Jietai Temple is located in the Mentougou District, 35 kilometers from western Beijing. It is a Buddhist temple first built in the 622 during the Tang Dynasty. The largest ordination altar in
China are prserved in this temple. The altar was built 1,300 years ago. It is about 5 meters high, decorated with delicate and exquisite carvings. Jietai Temple is famous for its ancient trees, include Isvara Pine Tree, Lying Dragon Pine Tree, Nine Dragon Pine Tree and Tower-Embracing Pine Tree.
