Brief Itinerary

Day 1. Entry Beijing. Visit Houhai Area. Enjoy your evening time in a local bar of Bar Street. Take taxi back to your hotel.
Day 2. Tiananmen Square, Forbidden City, Lunch, 798 Art Zone, taste Chinese tea, Xiushui Market to find your favor shoes or cloth. (Breakfast, Lunch)
Day 3. Under Ground Palace of Ming Tombs, Sacred Way, Lunch, visit Mutianyu Great Wall on foot. Teppanyaki (griddle cuisine) for Dinner, CCTV Tower to have a bird View of Beijing.

Detailed Itinerary

Day 1. Arrival, Houhai Area
Arrive in Beijing.
Be met from airport by private vehicle and be transferred to hotel for checking in.
Then transfer to Houhai Area. It is a part of Shichahai Lake. The bar street in this area is famous in Beijing.
Enjoy your evening time in a local bar of Bar Street. Take taxi back to your hotel.

Day 2. Tiananmen Square, Forbidden City, Lunch, 798 Art Zone, taste Chinese tea, Xiushui Market.

Visit Tiananmen Square. The Tiananmen Square is the largest public square in the world. Surrounded by many well-known cultural and political institutions, the square is the final resting place of Chairman Mao Zedong. The square has witnessed the founding of the People's Republic of China.

Enter the Palace Museum from the north end of Tiananmen Square. Known as Forbidden City, the Palace Museum is a treasure house of Chinese cultural and historical relics. The palace was the exclusive domain of the imperial court for almost 500 years, 24 emperors of Ming and Qing Dynasty. As one of the World Cultural Relics, the palace consists of 90 palaces and courtyards, 980 buildings and 8,704 rooms.

After lunch, we will visit 798 Art Zone. Occupying an area of 0.6 square kilometers, It was built based on an old factory, 798 factory. With many art organizations and artists's coming, the zone becomes a well-known center of culture and art in Beijing. Many travelers come to feel the art atmosphere.

Taste Chinese tea, enjoy Chinese tea ceremony and have a rest in a local tea house.
China is the hometown and birthplace of Chinese tea.
Being the national drinks of China, tea has a history of four to five thousand years.
Tea culture is one of the specific representative of Chinese culture.

Then driver to Xiushui Market to find your favor shoes or cloth. Xiushui Market is a shopping center housing 1,700 retail vendors. Except silk and fashion clothes, various kinds of iterms can be bought here.

Be transferred back to hotel after the tour.

Day 3.Under Ground Palace of Ming Tombs, Sacred Way, Lunch, Mutianyu Great Wall on foot. Teppanyaki for Dinner, CCTV Tower.

Drive to visit Under Ground Palace of Ming Tombs, Ding Ling (the Tomb of Ding), which is the mausoleum of the 13th emperor (Wanli) of the Ming Dynasty, who had the longest reign in Ming dynasty.
With five chambers, the underground palace of Dingling is 27 meters deep with a total floor space of 1,195 square meters. All chambers were built of stone without using a single beam or column. Dingling is the only excavated tomb for archaeological exploration. Tourists can see precious antiques in the exhibition halls.

Then visit Sacred Way. The Sacred Way stretches 7 kilometers from south to north through the center of the tombs area. It was originally built for the first tomb Changling - the tomb of Emperor Yongle, the most powerful emperor in the Ming dynasty. But as the later tombs were built either to the right or to the left, it became the main road to all of them. They formed one group, but each tomb is independent of the other. Each lies at the foot of a hill.

Photo of Mutianyu Great WallAfter lunch, drive to visit Mutianyu Great Wall.  Located around 90 km northeast of Beijing, Great Wall was built and maintained between the 7th century BC and 17th century BC. It was originally built to protect the empire from northern invaders. The Great Wall stretches through the countryside over deserts, hills and plains for 8,851.8 kilometers.
Mutianyu section was first built in the mid-6th century. It is the longest fully-restored Great Wall with 22 original style watchtowers. Mutianyu Great Wall features picturesque landscape with 90% forest coverage rate. The scenery in spring and autumn is excellent. Mutianyu Great Wall is not so crowded as Badaling section. Climb the great wall on foot.

Try the Teppanyaki (griddle cuisine) for Dinner, which is loved by young people.
Then go up the CCTV Tower to have a bird View of Beijing. Standing at 405 meters, CCTV Tower is the tallest structure in Beijing. The tower has an observation deck (at 238 meters), from which we can have a bird's eye view of the entire city of Beijing. There also a function hall, a revolving restaurant and some exhibition halls.

Be transferred back to your hotel after the whole day tour at around 18:00.

Day 4. Summer Palace, National Museum, trekking in Hutong area, try rickshaw.

Driver to visit Summer Palace. The Summer Palace was first built in 1750 by Emperor Qianlong in Qing Dynasty. It covers an area of 2.9 square kilometers, including 70,000 square meters of building space. The Summer Palace perfectly combines the natural landscape of hills and open water with humankind works such as pavilions, halls, palaces and bridges. In 1998, UNESCO included the Summer Palace on its World Heritage List.

Move on to visit National Museum. National Museum of China is an integrated national museum under the Ministry of Culture of China, draws equally from both history and art and is dedicated to its collections, exhibitions, research, archaeology, public education and cultural communication. Its basic functions are cultural relics and artworks collection, exhibition display, public education, history and art research, and cultural communication.

Photo of HutongThen trekking in Hutong area to discover old Beijing, try rickshaw riding. Hutongs are lanes or alleys formed by lines of Siheyuan (a compound with houses around a courtyard). Most of them were built during the Yuan (1206-1368), Ming (1368-1644) and Qing (1644-1908) dynasties surrounding the Forbidden City. Many famous operas and dramas are based on the themes of hutong life. Man-power rickshaw is arranged for you to feel the Hutong of Beijing.

Dinner in local restaurant and be transferred back to your hotel.
