9 Days China Private Tour of Beijing Guilin Yangshuo Shanghai

Detailed Itinerary

• Day 1. Entry Beijing.  
• 
  Arrive in Beijing. Meet your guide with your name sign at the exit of the airport or train station.
  Transfer you to the hotel.
  Free for the remainder of the day.

• Day 2. Beijing: Tiananmen Square, Forbidden City, Summer Palace, Olympic Park.  
• 
  Your private guide will pick you up from hotel at 08:30am.
  Proceed to visit Tiananmen Square. Surrounded by many well-known cultural and political buildings, Tiananmen Square is the largest downtown square in the world. It has witnessed the founding of the new China.
  Move on to Forbidden City. Known as "Zijingcheng" in ancient china, Forbidden City was the royal palace of Ming and Qing dynasties(1368-1912). It is the world's largest and best-preserved palace complex and was listed as the World Cultural Relics.
• After lunch, drive to Summer Palace. This largest imperial garden in China is a blend of natural scenery and artificial landscape. It was the summer resort for the emperors of Qing Dynasty(1644-1912).
  Continue to Olympic Park. After the 2008 Summer Olympic Games, Olympic Park has become a public place for recreation. Have an outside view of the landmark buildings in the park, Bird Nest and Water Cube.
  Transfer you back to the hotel.

• Day 3. Beijing: Ming Tombs, Badaling Great Wall.  
• 
  Your private guide will pick you up from hotel at 08:30am.
  Drive 1.5 hours to the Ming Tombs. Ming Tombs is an imperial mausoleum area with 13 tombs of Ming Dynasty emperors.
  Visit the largest and the best preserved one among the 13 tombs, Changling. It is divided into three courtyards and the main buildings were arranged on the central axis.
• Continue to Badaling Great Wall. Built in 1505 during the Ming Dynasty, Badaling is the best preserved and most visited section of Chinese Great Wall. It is close Beijing city and featured with magnificent architectures and breathtaking nature scenery.
  Transfer you back to the hotel.

• Day 4. Temple of Heaven, flight to Guilin.  Arrive in Guilin and check in the hotel.

  Your private guide will pick you up from hotel at 08:30am.
  Visit Temple of Heaven. Temple of Heaven was built in 1420 for emperors of Ming and Qing Dynasties to communicate with the gods and pray for good harvest. It is the largest sacrificial building complex in the world.
  Then transfer you to the airport. Take flight to Guilin.
  
  Arrive in Guilin Liangjiang Airport. Your guide will meet you at the exit.
  Transfer you to hotel in downtown Guilin for check in.

• Day 5. Li River Cruise, Yangshuo.  
• 
  Your private guide will pick you up from hotel at about 07:30am - 08:10am.
  Drive to cruise port to take Li River Cruise from Guilin to Yangshuo. Li River is the highlight of Guilin landscape. Cruise on the river, you will enjoy the clear water with reflection of oddly-shaped peaks, graceful bamboo groves, rice paddies, water buffalo and peaceful village. The cruise will last about 4.5 to 5 hours.
• Reach Yangshuo in the afternoon. Transfer you to check in the hotel.
  Your guide will escort you to have a short exploration in Yangshuo.

• Day 6. Free day in Yangshuo.  
• 
  Free day for you to discover the one-thousand-year-old Yangshuo. You can walk around in the West Street, have a cup of coffee or rent a bicycle to enjoy the countryside views.

• Day 7. Guilin: Reed Flute Cave, Elephant Trunk Hill, Fubo Hill, flight to Shanghai.  Arrive in Shanghai and check in the hotel.

  Your private driver will pick you up from hotel at 08:30am and transfer you back to Guilin.
  Proceed to Reed Flute Cave. Known as "the Palace of Natural Arts", Reed Flute Cave is a natural limestone cave with various stalactites, stone pillars and rock formations created by carbonate deposition.
• Continue to Elephant Trunk Hill, the symbol of Guilin City. The hill was named after its shape resembling a giant elephant drinking river water. It boasts for the breathtaking natural views and valuable cultural landscapes.
  Move on to Fubo Hill. There are lots of stone carvings and Buddha statues from Tang Dynasty on the hill. From the summit you may have a panorama of Li River and Guilin City. Then transfer you to airport. Take flight to Shanghai.
  Arrive in Shanghai Pudong Airport. Your guide will meet you at the exit.
  Transfer you to hotel in downtown for check in.

• Day 8. Shanghai: Yu Garden, Nanjing Road, Oriental Pearl TV Tower, The Bund.  
• 
  Your private guide will pick you up from hotel at 08:30am.
  Drive to visit Yu Garden. With a history of over 400 years, Yu Garden is a classic garden in southern China with pavilions, cloisters, bridges, ponds and rockeries. It presents the art and skills of the traditional gardens in China.
  Go on to Nanjing Road. The road is the earliest and busiest commercial street in Shanghai. It is a shopping paradise with many large shopping malls, traditional old stores, specialty stores and restaurants.
• Visit Oriental Pearl TV Tower after lunch. The tower is an important landmark of Shanghai city. With 468 meters high in total, it is the world’s sixth and Asia's fourth TV and radio tower. You can enjoy the panoramic city view at different heights.
  Continue to The Bund, a famous waterfront along the Huangpu River. The Bund offers the stunning view of old and new Shanghai. 52 various European-style buildings stand here and the iconic skyscrapers of Pudong New Area are located across the river.
  Transfer you back to the hotel after the tour.

• Day 9. Exit Shanghai.  
• 
  Your private guide and driver will pick you up from hotel at appointed time.
  Deliver you to the airport to connect the flight of your next destination.
