Detailed Itinerary

Day 1. Arrival, Memorial Park of American Flying Tiger Team, Elephant Trunk Hill, Diecai Haill, Walking near Two Rivers and Four Lakes, Cruise on the river, Cormorant Fishing show.
Be met from Guilin Liangjiang airport or train station.

Drive to visit Memorial Park of American Flying Tiger Team. The Flying Tiger is an all-volunteer pilot corps recruited from the United States Army Air Force, Navy, and Marine Corps during the second world war(1941-1945). They transported supplies and soliders to support Chinese. The memorial park was built on the site of the former Yangtang airport, which was built by the locals and the US volunteers in 1942 under dangerous conditions. The park includes a memorial hall, the Monument and Relief Wall of Heroes during the period of Anti-Japanese War, the sculptures of Flying Tiger Team, a cave command post and aircraft shelters, etc.

Then visit Elephant Trunk Hill. Located on the western bank of Li River, Elephant Trunk Hill is the symbol of Guilin. The shape of the hill is just like a huge elephant drinking water from the river with its trunk. There is a Water-Moon Cave between the trunk and the legs. Through the arch, the reflection of the moon can be seen at night, which looks like a full moon floating on the surface of the water.

Visit Diecai Hill to have a bird view of Guilin. Located on the bank of Li River and northeast of Guilin City, Diecai Hill is known for its amazing scenery and stone carvings. The main attractions of Diecai Hill include Diecai Pavilion, Wind Cave and Bright Moon Peak. From the summit of Bright Moon Peak, you may have a bird's-eye view of whole Guilin city.

Then have a walking tour near Two Rivers and Four Lakes. Two Rivers and Four Lakes Scenic Spot is a water system around the Guilin city which consists of Li River, Peach Blossom River, Banyan Tree Lake, Chinese Fir Lake, Osmanthus Tree Lake and Wooden Dragon Lake. The Scenic Spot is divided into three scenic areas: Mulong ancient water way scenic area reflecting history culture of Song Dynasty, Gui Lake sightseeing area famed for natural beauty and rustic charm and Rong Lake and Shan Lake sightseeing area featured by classical Chinese gardens. Two Rivers and Four Lakes Scenic Spot is the name card of Guilin City.
Cruise on the river within downtown Guilin.

Enjoy Cormorant Fishing show in the evening. Cormorant is a diving aquatic bird. The fisherman lived on the bank of Li River has used well-trained cormorant to catch fish for centuries. They tie a snare near the base of the bird's throat to prevent the birds from swallowing larger fish. After a cormorant catch any fish, it will swim back to the boat and show off to the fisherman. Now Cormorant Fishing is done as a performance for the travellers.

Be transferred back to hotel after the tour.

Day 2. Daxu Ancient Town, forest park with waterfall.
Be met from hotel at 08:30am.

Drive to visit Daxu Ancient Town. Daxu Ancient Town is located at the east bank of the Li River, with a history of 200 years. Well preserved traditional Chinese architectures stand on the both sides of stone-paved streets. Many old handicrafts, like bamboo-weaving, grass shoes, traditional funeral articles, are still remained. The attractions in the town include Longevity Bridge, century-old dock and Seven Stars Tombs.

After lunch, we will visit a forest park with waterfall. There are eight waterfalls and nine pools in the park. The waterfall is divided into 13 grades, with the fall of 90m and the average width of 20m.
Travelers have chance to climb the waterfall in Summer after equipped with sandal and safety helmet.
The level of climb is in easy level, it is very easy to discover the park along the waterfall for young people.
We suggest to prepare extra shirt and pants for climbing the waterfall.

Be transferred back to hotel after the tour.

Day 3. Guilin - Yangshuo: Li River Cruise, Bamboo rafting along Yulong River.
Be met from hotel at around 07:30am - 08:10am and transferred to cruise port.

Take Li River Cruise from Guilin to Yangshuo (around 5 hours, lunch is arranged on boat).
Li River is the biggest and the most beautiful Karst landscape. With its breathtaking scenery, the scenery along the Li River become one of China's top tourist destinations. Taking a cruise over the river, You will enjoy the picturesque mountains, peaceful green fields, farms and villages with water buffalos, cows wondering around on both sides of the river bank.

Then have a bamboo rafting along Yulong River. Yulong River is the biggest branch of the Li River in Yangshu, also called "small Li River" because of its beautiful nature scence. Rafting on the Yulong River, travelers can enjoy the limestone peaks, bamboos, peaceful villages, green fields along the river, which will bring totally relaxing.

Be transferred back to hotel in Guilin.

Day 4. Seven Star Park, Reed Flute Cave, Departure.
Be met from hotel at 08:30am.

Then visit Seven Star Park. Located at the east bank of Li River, Seven Star Park is the biggest comprehensive park in Guilin. The seven peaks in the park resemble the form of the Big Dipper constellation. Attractions in the park include Flower Bridge, Putuo Mountain, Seven Stars Cave, Camel Hill, Crescent Mountain, and Guihai Stele Forest, etc.

Then visit Reed Flute Cave. Reed Flute Cave is a brilliant cave known as "the Palace of Natural Arts". It is a spectacular world of various stalactites, stone pillars and rock formations created by carbonate deposition in this water-eroded cave. The stones in the cave shows in many different ways.

Be transferred to Guilin Liangjiang Airport to connect flight for departure.
