Detailed Itinerary

Day 1. Shanghai Museum, Jade Buddha Temple, an old style house, The Bund.
Arrive in Shanghai. Be met by English speaking tour guide and driver from Beijingservice.com.
Then you will be transferred to hotel.

After a short rest in hotel, drive to Shanghai Museum. Shanghai Museum is famous for its large collection of rare cultural pieces. It features 120000 pieces collections hence to be regarded as one of the best museums in China. The cultural pieces include ancient bronze exhibit, Chinese sculpture, ceramics, jades, calligraphy, as well as other ancient Chinese artwork.

Then visit Jade Buddha Temple. Jade Buddha Temple is a Buddhist temple in Shanghai. The temple houses a number of ancient sculptures, rare paintings and Buddhist scriptures. Jade Buddha Temple has two jade statues of the Sakyamuni Buddha imported from Burma, one seated and one reclining.

Visit an old style house to know the daily life of local Shanghai People. The museum shows the house setting, life style, living details of a family in 1930. Constructed in the middle of 1800, the building is a combination of Chinese and Western architectural styles and represents modern Shanghai history and culture.

Move on to visit The Bund. The Bund is one of the most representative scenic spot in Shanghai. Day 2.Yu Garden and Yu market, Shanghai Old Street, Chinese Pen and Ink Museum, local street, departure.
Be picked up from hotel at 08:30 am.

Drive to visit Yu Garden.
Located in the southern part of Shanghai, Yu Garden is a well-restored Suzhou-style garden. It is one of the best gardens in southern China. With pavilions, halls, chambers, towers, ponds and rockeries, it presents more than 40 scenic spots. No wonder people say "Those who have come to Shanghai missing Yu Garden and the City God Temple Bazaar can not claim that they have been to the city."

Move on to visit Yu Market.
Yu Market is a bazaar with Ming and Qing architecture near Yu Garden. The bazaar is always busy and crowded. Traverlers can find plenty of local products.

Then visit Shanghai Old Street.
Shanghai Old Street is an important part of the Yu Garden tourism area. The street is built in old-Shanghai style. Travellers may get a feeling of getting back to 1930's. Local stores and other small art shop that existed 100 years ago stand along the street.

Visit a museum to know Chinese Pen and Ink. The musuem is engaged in exhibiting Chinese brush pen and ink. Travelers can also find the displays of masterpieces of various styles of ancient art and calligraphy.

Visit a local street full of Shanghai local style old building, former residence of celebrity.
