  • Day 1. Arrival, Yu Garden, Chinese Brush Pen and Ink Museum, Shanghai Natural History Museum, Tianzifang Art Zone, the Bund.  
  • Day 2. Shanghai Glass Museum, China Martial Art Museum.  
  • Day 3. Children Palace, Shanghai Museum, People's Square, Cruise on Huangpu River, Nanjing Road.  
  • Day 4. Pudong New Area, Oriental Pearl TV Tower, Shanghai Municipal History Museum, Outside view of China Hall of Shanghai Expo, Binjiang Avenue, Departure.  

Detailed Itinerary

  • Day 1. Arrival, Yu Garden, Chinese Brush Pen and Ink Museum, Shanghai Natural History Museum, Tianzifang Art Zone, the Bund.  

  • Arrive in Shanghai. Meet your guide with your name sign at the exit of the airport or railway station.
    Drive to Yu Garden. With a history of over 400 years, Yu Garden is the most famous garden in downtown Shanghai. It presents the art and skills of the traditional gardens from the pavilions, cloisters, bridges, ponds, rockeries and exquisite carvings.
    Then visit Chinese Brush Pen and Ink Museum. It is a museum focused on the Chinese traditional painting tools, brush pen and ink. You also find some famous works of painting and calligraphy here.
  • Proceed to Shanghai Natural History Museum, one of the largest natural history museums in China. The museum displays more than 280,000 collections from natural world and human historical relics all over the world.
    Go to Tianzifang Art Zone. Tianzhifang is a place where you can get the feeling of creative arts, romantic cafe and old Shanghai atmosphere.
    Move on to the Bund, a must-go destination for the travelers in Shanghai. It is famous for the various European-style architectures, stunning view of Shanghai skyline and historical charm.
    Afterwards, transfer you to the hotel to check in the hotel.

  • Day 2. Shanghai Glass Museum, China Martial Art Museum.  

  • Meet your guide at 08:30 in the morning.
    Visit only glass museum in China, Shanghai Glass Museum. In addition to its glass themed exhibition, the museum has hot glass shows, DIY workshops, lectures, libraries, and other interactive activities.
  • Head to China Martial Art Museum in the afternoon. The museum displays the history and culture of Chinese martial arts. There are more than 2,000 exhibits including all kinds of cold weapon.
    Transfer you back to the hotel after the tour.

  • Day 3. Children Palace, Shanghai Museum, People's Square, Cruise on Huangpu River, Nanjing Road.  

  • Meet your guide at 08:30 in the morning.
    Start today's tour with Children Palace. Also called "Marble Mansion", the building of Children Palace was built in 1924 with style of western court.
    Continue to Shanghai Museum, one of the best museums in China. The museum displays more than 120,000 pieces of cultural relics showing Chinese ancient history and art.
    Walking around People's Square. This larger garden-style square is the site of Shanghai Municipal Government Mansion.
  • Take a cruise on the Huangpu River. It is the good way to discover the old and new Shanghai. You can enjoy the historical architectures on the Bund and the modern skyscrapers opposite the Huangpu River.
    Move on to Nanjing Road. With a history of over 100 years, Nanjing Road is a shopping paradise with many all-in-one shopping malls, restaurants and cafés.
    Transfer you back to the hotel after the tour.

  • Day 4. Pudong New Area, Oriental Pearl TV Tower, Shanghai Municipal History Museum, Outside view of China Hall of Shanghai Expo, Binjiang Avenue, Departure.  

  • Meet your guide at 08:30 in the morning.
    Drive to Shanghai's financial district, Pudong New Area. The area is the symbol of China's reform and opening-up.
    Then visit Oriental Pearl TV Tower. With 468 meters high in total, Oriental Pearl TV Tower is the most recognizable landmark of Shanghai City. It has three full-scope sightseeing spheres for travelers to enjoy the city view at different heights.
    Visit Shanghai Municipal History Museum in the basement of the Oriental Pearl TV Tower. The Museum displays the history of Shanghai through many ways including life-like wax figures, valuable relics, documents, pictures and advanced audio-visual devices.
  • View the China Hall of Shanghai Expo from outside. Made of traditional dougong brackets of ancient China, the China Hall in 2010 Shanghai Expo looks like a crown.
    Take a stroll along Binjiang Avenue if time permits. Binjiang Avenue is the east Bund of Shanghai. It is a landscape park across the Hangpu River from the Bund.
    After the tour, transfer you to the airport or train station to see off.
