Detailed Itinerary

Day 1. Arrival, Big Wild Goose Pagoda, Shannxi Local Folk Park, local park near City Wall.
Be met from Xian Xianyang International Airport.

Drive to visit Big Wild Goose Pagoda. Big Wild Goose Pagoda is a landmark of Xian city. It was first built in 652AD for the storage of Buddhist sutras and figurines. The pagoda is a well-preserved ancient building and a holy place for Buddhists. The present 7-storey Pagoda was built with layers of bricks without any cement in between.

Then visit Shannxi Local Folk Park. This park displays the Shanxi local folk culture with the sculpture art, including the famous Shanxi eight strange folk customs: noodle is like belt, GuoKui is like pot, pepper is a dish, people wear handkerchiefs on their heads, etc.

Move on to visit a local park near City Wall. It is the beautiful section of the park around the City Wall. The park is coverd with lush trees and fragrant flowers. There are many folk-custom sculptures with the characteristics of Shaanxi in the park. many local people come here to sing, exercise and fly kites every day.

Be transferred back to hotel.

Day 2. local Flower and Bird Flea market, a traditional area, Shannxi History Museum, Antique Market of Xian.
Be met from hotel lobby at 08:30am.

Drive to visit a local Flower and Bird Flea market. It is the most famous flower and bird market in Xian. The market is open on every Thursday and Sunday. It is the must-go place for bird-lovers in Xian.

Then visit a traditional area of Xian. Take a walk to get an impression of daily life of local people. There are traditional houses and authentic snacks here.

Move on to visit Shannxi History Museum. Shannxi History Museum is the first huge state museum with modern facilities in China, featuring an architectural style of the Tang Dynasty. It is the best cultural heritage of Shaanxi Province and shows the systematic development process of Chinese civilization. The museum houses over 300,000 items including murals, paintings, pottery, coins, as well as bronze, gold, and silver objects.

Visit Antique Market of Xian. It is the earilest and biggest antique market in Xian. Covering an area of more than 6,000 meters square, there are about 300 stores in the market. It is a paradise for antique collectors with thousands of genuine pieces from large furniture to small coins, especially ceramic or porcelain
pots in various shapes.

Be transferred back to hotel after the tour.

Day 3. Terracotta Warriors, a local shopping mall, Local Park, Qin Opera.
Be met from hotel lobby at 08:30am.

Drive to visit Terracotta Warriors. Terracotta Warriors is the Eighth Wonder of the World, because of its historical significance and uniqueness. It is the a form of funerary art buried with Emperor Qin Shihuang, the first unifier of China dating back to 210 BC. More than 6,000 different looking pottery figures depict the history of the Qin Dynasty from 221 BC-206 BC. Every figure differs from those around in facial features and expression, clothing, hairstyle, and gestures. 130 chariots with 520 horses and 150 cavalry horses are scatted in three excavated pits.

Then visit a local shopping mall. The Shopping Mall is located in the southeast of Bell Tower, north of the East Street. It is a multi-functional and high-grade integrated mall, including commercial trade, catering services and office buildings.

Move on to visit a Local Park. The park has the style of Royal Garden of Tang Dyansty, integrating landscape of modernecology and historical culture. It cosists of 9 main scenic spots. Lake, weeping willows, stone bridge, pavilions, and green trees make the park a beautiful picture!

Enjoy local Qin Opera. Qin Opera is one of the oldest operas in Norwest area of China. It appeared in West Zhou Dynasty(1046BC-771BC) and became popular in the Qin Dynasy(216BC-207BC). There are 13 kinds of characters in Qinqiang Opera. The songs are bold and touching, the music is colorful and elegant, and the performances are simple, rough, delicate, profound and full of exaggeration.

Be transferred back to hotel after the tour.
