3 Days Xian Walking Private Package Tour

Detailed Itinerary

Day 1. Arrival.
Arrive in Xian.
Be met from airport by private vehicle and be transferred to hotel for checking in. Remainder of the day is at leisure.

Day 2. Walking tour of Shannxi History Museum, North Square of Big Wild Goose Pagoda, a garden focused on Shannxi Folk culture, a garden focused on local Opera, Tang Paradise.
Be met from hotel lobby by our tour guide at 08:30am.

Arrive in Shannxi History Museum to start our walking tour. Shannxi History Museum is the first huge state museum with modern facilities in China, featuring an architectural style of the Tang Dynasty. It is the best cultural heritage of Shaanxi Province and shows the systematic development process of Chinese civilization. The museum houses over 300,000 items including murals, paintings, pottery, coins, as well as bronze, gold, and silver objects.

Then visit North Square of Big Wild Goose Pagoda. North Square is located on the foot of Big Wild Goose Pogoda, covering an area of more than 110,000 square meters. It is the square with biggest musical fountain and light fountain and largest-scale sculptures in Aisa. The main attractions in the square include musical fountain, Tang-cultural plaza, gardens and cultural corridor. When lights are lit up at night, the fountain will dance by music. The Big Wild Goose Pagoda looks more attractive in the colorful lights.

Visit a garden focused on Shannxi Folk culture. This garden displays the Shanxi local folk culture with the sculpture art, including the famous Shanxi eight strange folk customs: noodle is like belt, GuoKui is like pot, pepper is a dish, people wear handkerchiefs on their heads, etc.

Move on to visit a garden focused on local Opera. The garden displays the characteristics of Shanxi local opera, Qin Opera, with combining the art of sculpture and Shaanxi opera culture. Many group sculptures with opera cultural features can be see in the park. The corresponding drama recordings are broadcasted automatically and intermittently beside the sculptures.

Then visit Tang Paradise in the afternoon at around 16:00 till 19:00. Tang Paradise is the first and largest cultural theme park. It displays the culture of Tang Dynasty(618-907) from various aspects, including architecture, folk custom, business, politics, entertainment, and arts, etc.. There are 14 scenic spots in the park. The Purple Cloud Tower is the center. Visitors can enjoy various performances showing the Tang culture. The most amazing is the largest water film in the world and the show "Dream Back to the Great Tang Dynasty".

Be transferred to hotel after the tour.

Day 3. Terracotta Warriors Museum, Walking tour on Xian City Wall, departure.
Be met from hotel lobby by tour guide and private vehicle at 08:30am.

Drive to visit Terracotta Warriors Museum. Terracotta Warriors is the Eighth Wonder of the World, because of its historical significance and uniqueness. It is the a form of funerary art buried with Emperor Qin Shihuang, the first unifier of China dating back to 210 BC. More than 6,000 different looking pottery figures depict the history of the Qin Dynasty from 221 BC-206 BC. Every figure differs from those around in facial features and expression, clothing, hairstyle, and gestures. 130 chariots with 520 horses and 150 cavalry horses are scatted in three excavated pits.

Then have a walking tour on Xian City Wall. With a history of 600 years, Xian City Wall is the oldest, largest and best preserved city wall of China. It was used to be an important military defensive system to fortify the city. The Ancient City Wall boasts the gates, tunnels and watch towers. The South Gate and North Gate are the two main entrances to the inner city.

Be transferred to airport for departure.
