Drive to visit Tanzhe Temple. Tanzhe Temple is a Buddhist temple situated in a mountainous area in western Beijing. Constructed in the Jin Dynasty(265-420),the temple has a history of over 1700 years. Most of the remaining buildings in the temple are from the Ming and Qing dynasties, while many pagodas date back to the Jin, Yuan, Ming and Qing dynasties.
Then visit Jietai Temple. Jietai Temple is located in the Mentougou District, 35 kilometers from western Beijing. It is a Buddhist temple first built in the 622 during the Tang Dynasty. The largest ordination altar in China are prserved in this temple. The altar was built 1,300 years ago. It is about 5 meters high, decorated with delicate and exquisite carvings. Jietai Temple is faIt is mous for its ancient trees, include Isvara Pine Tree, Lying Dragon Pine Tree, Nine Dragon Pine Tree and Tower-Embracing Pine Tree.
Be transferred back to your hotel after the whole day tour at around 18:00.
