Detailed Itinerary

Day 1. Arrival
Arrive in Beijing.
Be met from airport by private vehicle and be transferred to hotel for checking in. Remainder of the day is at leisure.

Day 2. Tiananmen Square, National Museum, Outside view of Grand Theater, Forbidden City.
Be picked up from your hotel by English speaking tour guide and private vehicle at 08:30 am.

Drive to visit Tiananmen Square. Tiananmen SquarePhoto
The Tiananmen Square is the largest public square in the world. Surrounded by many well-known cultural and political institutions, the square is the final resting place of Chairman Mao Zedong. The square has witnessed the founding of the People's Republic of China.

Then visit National Museum. The National Museum of China consists of two separate museums: the Museum of the Chinese Revolution in the northern wing and the National Museum of Chinese History in the southern wing. The National Museum of China houses over 620,385 cultural items in its permanent art collection. The museum also possess many Chinese historical artifacts that would not be found in other museums such as the heaviest ancient bronze- Simuwu Ding.

After the Indian lunch, have an outside view of Grand Theater.
Coverign an area of 11.89 million square meters, National Grand Theatre is located in the city center of Beijing, near Tan'anmen Square and Great Hall of the People. Designed by French architect Paul Andreu, the exterior of the theater is a titanium accented glass dome surrounded by artificial lake, like an egg floating on water. There are mainly three main professional theaters and a small experimental theaters in the theater.

Then we will visit Forbidden City. Forbidden City PhotoIt is a treasure house of Chinese cultural and historical relics. The palace was the exclusive domain of the imperial court for almost 500 years, 24 emperors of Ming and Qing Dynasty. As one of the World Cultural Relics, the palace consists of 90 palaces and courtyards, 980 buildings and 8,704 rooms.

Be transferred back to your hotel after the whole day tour at around 18:00.

Day 3.Badaling Great Wall, Summer Palace.

Photo of Badaling Great WallDrive to visit Badaling Great Wall.  Located around 90 km northeast of Beijing, Great Wall was built and maintained between the 7th century BC and 17th century BC. It was originally built to protect the empire from northern invaders. The Great Wall stretches through the countryside over deserts, hills and plains for 8,851.8 kilometers.
Badaling was built in 1505 during the Ming Dynasty. This section of the Great Wall is the best preserved and most visited one. It is 7600 meters long and 1000 meters above sea level,commanding a strategic position in ancient times.

As the main stadium of the 2008 Olympic Games, the National Stadium, also called Bird's Nest, is located in the southern part of central area of Beijing Olympic Park. The National Stadium was used to hold the Olympic Games, the opening and closing ceremony of the Paralympic Games, track and field events and the Soccer finals.
National aquatics center is one of the landmark constructures during the 2008 Olympic Games. It was the major swimming pool constructed for the 2008 Olympic Games. National aquatics center and National Stadium are separately located on both sides of the northern end of Beijing city central axis and they together form a complete Beijing's image of a historical and cultural city.

Then visit Summer Palace.
Summer Palace Photo The Summer Palace was first built in 1750 by Emperor Qianlong in Qing Dynasty. It covers an area of 2.9 square kilometers, including 70,000 square meters of building space. The Summer Palace perfectly combines the natural landscape of hills and open water with humankind works such as pavilions, halls, palaces and bridges. In 1998, UNESCO included the Summer Palace on its World Heritage List.

Day 4. Qianmen Area, Temple of Heaven, Wangfujing Street, Enjoy Chinese Tea, Beijing Hutong, Outside view of Bird Nest and Water Cube.

Drive to visit Qianmen Area. Near Tian'anmen Square, Qianmen Street is a renowned pedestrian street, with 840 meters long and 21 meters wide. The buildings in this street resemble the late Qing Dynasty. Many time-honored brands can be found here, such as Tongrentang, Ruifuxiang, Zhangyiyuan, Neiliansheng, Quanjude, Douyichu etc.

Then visit Temple of HeavenTemple of Heaven Photo
Built in 1420 during Ming Dynasty, Temple of Heaven is the best preserved and largest sacrificial building complex in the world. The emperor came to the temple every winter to pray for ample harvests and good weather. Strictly built on the basis of philosophical requirements, the temple in many ways features the relationship between Heaven and Earth.

Visit Wangfujing Street. Located near Tian'anmen Square and Forbidden City, Wangfujing Street is the busiest commercial area in Beijing. It is a pedestrian street with shopping malls, booksores, souvenir shops, and the snack stores. The street is more active in the night.

After Indian lunch, taste Chinese tea, enjoy Chinese tea ceremony and have a rest in a local tea house.
China is the hometown and birthplace of Chinese tea.
Being the national drinks of China, tea has a history of four to five thousand years.
Tea culture is one of the specific representative of Chinese culture.

Move on to visit Beijing Hutong. Hutongs are lanes or alleys formed by lines of Siheyuan (a compound with houses around a courtyard). Most of them were built during the Yuan (1206-1368), Ming (1368-1644) and Qing (1644-1908) dynasties surrounding the Forbidden City. Many famous operas and dramas are based on the themes of hutong life. Man-power rickshaw is arranged for you to feel the Hutong of Beijing.

Have an outside view of Bird Nest and Water Cube.

Day 5. 798 Art Zone, Capital Museum, Ancient City Wall of Beijing, Houhai Area.

Drive to visit 798 Art Zone. Beijing 798 Art Zone, occupies an area of 0.6 square kilometers, was built based on an old factory, 798 factory. With many art organizations and artists's coming, the zone becomes a well-known center of culture and art in Beijing. Many travelers come to feel the art atmosphere.

Then visit Capital Museum. Capital MuseumThe construction style of the Capital Museum is an integration between classical culture and modern features. The Museum contains three independent constructions, including the rectangular exhibition hall, the circular exhibition hall and the quadrate office and scientific research building. The exhibition items are divided into three categories: permanent exhibitions, exhibitions of fine artistic collections and temporary exhibitions.

After Indian lunch, visit Ancient City Wall of Beijing. In the history, The Ming City Wall, was first built in 1419, has a length of 40 kilometers. The remaining relic is about 1.5 kilometers long and considered as an important symbol of Beijing.

Move on to visit Houhai Area. It is a part of Shichahai Lake. The bar street in this area is famous in Beijing.
