Detailed Itinerary
- Day 1. Tiananmen Square, National Museum, Forbidden City, Jingshan Park.
You will be picked up from hotel lobby at 08:30am.
Drive to the largest city plaza in the world, Tiananmen Square. The square is the place where many political and historical events took place.
Then visit National Museum of China is located at the east side of Tiananmen Square. More than over 620,385 cultural items are housed in the museum and all of them are top level in China.- Go on visiting Forbidden City. As the largest palatial structure in the world, Forbidden City was the home of emperors during the Ming and Qing dynasties. The palace is the treasure house of Chinese cultural and historical relics.
Then go to Jingshan Park, the imperial garden of the Forbidden City. The summit of the Jingshan Hill in the park is the best location to have a panoramic view of the palace and Beijing city.
Be transferred back to the hotel at about 17:30. - Lunch, ,
- Day 2. Jinshanling Great Wall, Olympic Park.
You will be picked up from hotel lobby at 08:30am.
Drive about 2.5 hours to Jinshaling Great Wall. It is a remote section with many original features. This section is famous for unique military defense system, dense watchtowers and surrounding natural beauty.- Then go to Olympic Park built for the 2008 Beijing Olympic Games. There are 14 competition venues here including the famous Bird Nest and Water Cube.
Be transferred back to the hotel at about 17:30. - Lunch, ,
- Day 3. Temple of Heaven, Xiushui Market, Summer Palace.
You will be picked up from hotel lobby at 08:30am.
Firstly visit Temple of Heaven, which is the largest sacrificial building complex in the world. It was built in 1420 for emperors of Ming and Qing Dynasties to communicate with the gods and pray for good harvest.
Proceed to Xiushui Market. Also called Silk Market, Xiushui Market is a shopping mall housing 1,700 retail vendors. Except silk and fashion clothes, various kinds of items can be bought here. - After lunch, move on to Summer Palace. Featured with the natural landscape and ancient structures, Summer Palace is the best-preserved and largest royal garden existing in China.
Be transferred back to the hotel at about 17:30. - Lunch, ,
- Day 4. Beijing Zoo, Beijing Hutong, Lama Temple.
You will be picked up from hotel lobby at 08:30am.
Drive to Beijing Zoo. The zoo has a long history and houses many rare animals and birds. You can find the national treasure of China, national giant pandas.- After lunch, proceed to Beijing Hutong. With a history of over 700 years, Beijing Hutong represents the culture and way of life of old Beijingers. Take a rickshaw to discover the old lanes and traditional courtyard residences.
Go on visiting Lama Temple, a well preserved Tibetan monastery in Beijing. It was originally the royal residence of Emperor Yongzheng before he ascended the throne.
Lama Temple features five large halls and five courtyards with many treasuries of Buddhist art.
