There are two options for train, overnight train or fast train; but only overnight train is possible if you want to return to Beijing within one day.

by flight:
- morning pick up from your hotel in Beijing.
- transfer to airport for flight to Xian.

1st type is Beijing Xian one day tour by flight.
2nd type is Beijing Xian one day tour by overnight train. This tour should be called one day and 2 nights Beijing Xian tour, because you need to spend two nights on train. So the 1st option is used by most travelers.

Pick up time and place
Tour guide and vehicle will be in your hotel lobby three hours before flight time, and 2 hours before train departure time.

Distance between Beijing and Xian
Many travelers asked our tour advisor whether it is possible to visit Great Wall on the morning and visit Terra-cotta Warriors in the afternoon.
The answer is no, because the distance between Beijing and Xian  is around 1000 km, 2 hours' fly from Beijing to Xian, and the attraction is around one and half hours' driving from airport.  So the transfer takes around 8 hours.  There is no time for sightseeing. 

How long time should we make reservation for this one day xian trip ?
We suggest you to reserve this tour 2 weeks ago before tour date if you prefer to take flight to Xian.   Extra one month is needed if you wish to take this Beijing xian one day tour during peak seaston (April, May, September and October).
If you want to travel Xian by train, 3 month in advance is needed, because the train tickets can be bought 90 days before departure date.

 

 

Note of Flight Day Tour

It is very convenient to visit Xian by flight. Usually Beijingservice.com use CA1203 or HU7137 from Beijing to Xian, which departure from Beijing at 07:30 am and arrive in Xian at 09:30 am.   Our driver and guide will be in your hotel lobby at 05:30 am.       After the day tour of Xian, you will take CA1202 or MU2115 from Xian to Beijing, and you will be transferred back to your hotel lobby at around 21:00. 

 

Beijing Capital International Airport is 18 km to city and around 30 km to city center.  It takes around one and half hours from your hotel to airport.    But it only need around 40 minutes if we departure at 05:30 am.

Beijing Xian One Day Tour by Train

Train is very convenient between Beijing and Xian. Overnight train departure from Beijing in the evening and reach Xian on the morning, which will save you one night hotel cost.  Z19 (20:41-08:15) is often used because of its departure and arrival time, and this train is also called Beijing Xian Tourism Train.   Fom the photo as below, you can find the condition of Z19 train is very good.   Upon reaching train station of Xian, tour guide of Beijingservice Team will meet you from the gate of your train carriage.   

There are two kinds of soft sleepers on Z19,  standard 4 beds cabin and deluxe 2 sleepers cabin.
