Detailed Itinerary

• Day 1. Beijing Arrival.  
• 
  Be met from Beijing airport or train station by private guide and transferred to hotel for checking in.
  Free for the rest time of the day.

• Day 2. Beijing: Tiananmen Square, Forbidden City, Temple of Heaven, Olympic Park.  
• 
  Be picked up from hotel at 08:30 in the morning.
  Start today's tour with Tiananmen Square. Located in the center of Beijing City, Tiananmen Square is the largest public square in the world. It is the place where many political and historical events took place.
  From the north end of Tiananmen Square, we will enter the Forbidden City. It was the imperial palace during the Ming and Qing dynasties(1420-1912). Being the world's largest palace complex, Forbidden City consists of 90 palaces and courtyards, total 980 buildings.
• After lunch in a local restaurant, visit Temple of Heaven. With a history of over 600 years, Temple of Heaven is the largest sacrificial building complex in the world. The main buildings are Circular Mound Altar, Imperial Vault of Heaven and the Hall of Prayer for Good Harvest.
  Move on to Olympic Park. Built for the 2008 Beijing Olympic Games, The park presents a unique cultural landscape to the world. There are 14 competition venues here including the famous Bird Nest and Water Cube.
  Be delivered back to the hotel after the tour.

• Day 3. Beijing: Ming Tombs, Badaling Great Wall.  
• 
  Be picked up from hotel at 08:30 in the morning.
  Drive about 1.5 hours to Ming Tombs. It is an outstanding representative of the ancient Chinese mausoleum.
  Visit the largest and the first built one among the 13 tombs, Changling Tomb. It is the tomb of the third Ming Emperor Zhu Di and his wife. The Ling'en Hall in the Changling is the largest and the most magnificent building of nanmu wood that still exists in China.
• Proceed to Badaling Great Wall after lunch. Badaling is close Beijing city and featured with magnificent architectures and breathtaking nature scenery. It enjoys a high reputation both at home and abroad.
  Be delivered back to the hotel after the tour.

• Day 4. Beijing Hutong, Summer Palace, take flight to Nanjing.   Reach Nanjing and hotel check-in.

  Be picked up from hotel at 08:30 in the morning.
  First visit Beijing Hutong. Beijing Hutongs are lanes or alleys formed by the traditional courtyard compounds(Siheyuan) on both sides. It has a history of over 700 years. You will take a man-power rickshaw to feel the culture and daily life of the old Beijing.
  Go on to Summer Palace, the largest imperial garden in China. Featured with the natural landscape and ancient structures, Summer Palace was included the World Heritage Sites by UNESCO in 1998.
• After lunch, deliver you to airport. Take flight to Nanjing.
  
  Your private guide will meet you at the Nanjing Lukou International Airport.
  Transfer you to check in the hotel in downtown.

• Day 5. Nanjing: Sun Yat-sen Mausoleum, Ming Xiaoling Tomb, Ming City Wall.

  Be picked up from hotel at 08:30 in the moring.
  Drive to Sun Yat-sen Mausoleum. Covering an area of over 80,000 square meters, Sun Yat-sen Mausoleum is the mausoleum of Dr. Sun Yat-sen, the father of the Republic of China. The main buildings include Memorial Archway, Tomb Passage, Mausoleum Gate, Stone Steps, Stele Pavilion, Sacrifice Hall and Coffin Chamber. Combining the essence of western and ancient Chinese architectures, Sun Yat-sen Mausoleum is regarded as the most outstanding mausoleum in the history of Chinese modern architecture.
  Then visit Ming Xiaoling Tomb. Xiaoling Tomb is the mausoleum of the first emperor and his empress during the Ming Dynasty(1368-1644). It is one of the biggest imperial tombs in China. The tomb mainly consists of Sacred Way and the mausoleum complex. It is listed as World Cultural Heritage site because of its magnificent scale and unique design.
• Continue to Ming City Wall. With a length of 33.7 meters, Nanjing Ming City Wall is the longest city wall in the world. It was began to build in 1366 during the Ming Dynasty and took 28 years to complete. The city wall is made up of Palace City, Imperial City, Inner City and Out City from inside to outside. It is a masterpiece of ancient Chinese military fortification.
  Transfer you back to the hotel after the tour.

• Day 6. Take train to Suzhou.  Reach Suzhou, Tiger Hill, Garden of the Master of the Nets, Humble Administrator's Garden.

  Be picked up from hotel in the morning and delivered to train station.
  
  Your private guide will meet you at the Suzhou Train Station.
  Drive to Tiger Hill. With a history of over 2,500 years, Tiger Hill boasts for natural landscape and historical cultural relics. Tiger Hill Pagoda is called "the Leaning Tower of Pisa in China", which is the oldest and largest Buddhist pagoda in the south of Yangtze River.
• Move on to Garden of the Master of the Nets, the smallest garden in Suzhou. The small space is its greatest charm as it encompasses all the elements of a classic Chinese garden within close boundaries.
  Continue to Humble Administrator's Garden, the largest of all classical gardens in Suzhou. It is a representative of gardens in southern China. Humble Administrator's Garden is a treasure house containing arts of architecture, calligraphy, carving, painting, and bonsai.
  Afterwards, transfer you to check in the hotel.

• Day 7. Zhouzhuang Water Town.  
• 
  Be picked up from hotel at 08:30 in the morning.
  Today we will have a relaxing exploration in Zhouzhuang Water Town. With a history of about 1,000 years, Zhouzhuang Water Town is reputed as "the No. 1 Water Town in China" and the "Venice of the East". It features well-preserved residential houses, distinctive stone bridges, elegant watery views and local culture.
• Transfer you back to the hotel in Suzhou in the afternoon.

• Day 8. Free in the morning. Take train to Hangzhou.   Reach Hangzhou and hotel check-in.  
• 
  Free morning for you to explore this beautiful city on your own.
• Pick you up in the afternoon and transfer to train station. Take train to Hangzhou.
  
  Your private local guide in Hangzhou will meet you at the train station.
  Remainder of the day is at leisure after checking in.

• Day 9. Hangzhou: Lingyin Temple, West Lake, Six Harmonies Pagoda, Huqingyu Tang Chinese Medicine Museum.  
• 
  Be picked up from hotel at 08:30 in the morning.
  Drive to Lingyin Temple, one of the ten most famous ancient Buddhist temples in China. It has a history of about 1700 years. The temple contains an important collection of Buddhist literature together with many other treasures.
  Then proceed to West Lake. West Lake is one of the most beautiful scenic sites in China and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. We will take a cruise on the lake to enjoy the water view, historical sites and learn about the legends.
• Go on to Six Harmonies Pagoda. It is the landmark for navigation of Qiantang River. This octagonal pagoda is one of the masterpieces of ancient Chinese pagoda architecture.
  Then head to Huqingyu Tang Chinese Medicine Museum to learn about Chinese Traditional Herbal Medicine.
  Transfer you back to the hotel after the tour.

• Day 10. Take train to Shanghai.  Reach Shanghai, Shanghai Museum, Yu Garden, Nanjing Road, The Bund.

  Be picked up from hotel in the morning and delivered to train station. Take train to Shanghai.
  
  Arrive in Shanghai and meet your private guide at the train station.
  Drive to Shanghai Museum. Consisting of eleven galleries and three exhibition halls, Shanghai Museum is one of the best museums in China. More than 120,000 pieces of cultural relics are housed in the museum showcasing the ancient history and art of China.
• Then visit a famous classical Chinese garden, Yu Garden. With a history of over 400 years, the garden boasts for delicate architectures including pavilions, halls, cloisters, bridges and ponds.
  Continue to Nanjing Road. Nanjing Road is the most prosperous shopping street in Shanghai and one of the top ten pedestrian streets in China. It is a shopping paradise with over 600 businesses.
  Move on to The Bund. The Bund is a waterfront promenade on the west bank of Huangpu River. 52 European buildings of various architectural styles built here are the epitome of old Shanghai. It is famed as "Exhibition of International Buildings".
  Transfer you back to the hotel after the tour.
