Shanghai Five Days Deep Tour

Detailed Itinerary

• Day 1. Entry Shanghai, the Bund, Nanjing Road.  
• 
  Arrive in Shanghai. You guide will meet you at the exit of the airport or train station.
  Drive to visit the most representative scenic spot in Shanghai, the Bund. Historical buildings of different architectural styles are located on its west side and are famed as "Exhibition of International Architectures".
• Then visit Nanjing Road, the most famous commercial area in Shanghai. There are many large commercial buildings, traditional old stores and latest fashion stores on the road.
  Afterwards, your driver will transfer you to the hotel for rest.

• Day 2.Shanghai Old Building District, Former Embassy, Hengshan Road, People's Square, Shanghai Museum, Shanghai 1933 Old Millfun.  
• 
  You guide will pick you up from the hotel at 08:30 in the morning.
  Firstly visit an old business street of over one hundred years ago.
  Then visit a museum showing the house setting, life style, living details of a family in 1930.
  Go on visiting a former embassy which is the sacred temple of independent movement for Korean people. Its house is a nice example of a Shikumen house of 1930's Shanghai.
  Proceed to a street in the former French Concession of Shanghai. With European architectural style building and open courtyard, the street shows the picture of the Old Shanghai.
• Go to People's Square where the place of Shanghai Municipal Government Mansion lies in. The square is the center of politics, culture, Tourism and business of Shanghai City.
  Visit Shanghai Museum. The museum is one of the largest and best museums in China. It houses more than 120,000 precious artistic relics in 12 categories from over 5,000 years ago to the present.
  Head to hanghai 1933 Old Millfun, which used to be the largest slaughter house in East Asia. Buildings at different heights and spiral galleries are designed as complex as a maze but in clearly demarcated orders.
  Your driver will transfer you back to the hotel after the tour.

• Day 3. Humble Administrator's Garden, Zhouzhuang Water Town.    
• 
  You guide will pick you up from the hotel at 08:00 in the morning.
  Drive to Suzhou to visit Humble Administrator's Garden. Combining architecture, calligraphy, carving, painting, and bonsai, the garden is one of the top four classical gardens in China.
• Then visit Zhouzhuang Water Town. With unique cultural landscape and a long history, Zhouzhuang is reputed as the No. 1 Water Town in China and one of the "top ten tourist attractions in China favored by the European people".
  Your driver will transfer you back to the hotel after the tour.

• Day 4. Yu Garden, Chinese Brush Pen and Ink Museum, Old building of Ming and Qing Dynasty, Oriental Pearl Tower.  
• 
  You guide will pick you up from the hotel at 08:30 in the morning.
  Drive to Yu Garden. It was a private garden built in the Ming Dynasty(1368-1644). The garden perfectly combines pavilions, halls, bridges, towers, ponds and rockeries.
  Then visit Chinese Brush Pen and Ink Museum. Travelers can find the displays of masterpieces of various styles of ancient art and calligraphy.
• After lunch, visit the best preserved architecture of Qing dynasty(1644-1912) in Shanghai. The carved beam and painted pillar are full of artistic value.
  Proceed to Oriental Pearl TV Tower. With 468 meters high in total, the tower is made up of 11 spheres and provides 3 major sightseeing floors for a bird's eye view of Shanghai city in different height.
  Your driver will transfer you back to the hotel after the tour.

• Day 5. Shanghai Word Expo China Hall, Shanghai Art Museum, Huangpu River cruise, Pudong New Area, Take Meglev Train, Departure.

  You guide will pick you up from the hotel at 08:30 in the morning.
  Drive to the site of 2010 Word Expo to visit China Hall. The main structure, "The Crown of the East," has a distinctive roof, made of traditional dougong or brackets, which date back more than 2,000 years.
  Visit the Shanghai Art Museum in the China Hall. The museum displays many artworks from Chinese artists. You will be amazed by the theatrical presentation of the painting "Along the river during the Qing Ming Festival".
• Afterwards, take a cruise on Huangpu River for about one hour. It seems that you are cruising in a river of history.
  Proceed to Pudong New Area. The area was transformed from the farmland to the driving force of Shanghai's modern new urban district. It is the symbol of China's reform and opening-up.
  Take Meglev Train to Pudong airport, or be transferred to Hongqiao Airport or train station for departure.
