Day 1.

Arrive in Beijing.

Our tour guide will pick you up from airport.

Drive 3 hours to Huangyaguan. Dinner at hotel.

Have a good rest in your hotel to prepare for hiking of next day.

The Great Wall was built and maintained between the 7th century BC and 17th century BC. It was originally built to protect the empire from northern invaders. The Great Wall stretches through the countryside over deserts, hills and plains for 8,851.8 kilometers.

Huangyaguan Great Wall

Day 2.

Be picked up from hotel at 08:30 am.

Hiking 5 hours along Huangyaguan Great Wall.
This section of Great Wall acquired its name from the yellow cliffs into which it was built. Built across the Ju River in Jixian County, the pass and its round guardhouse, Phoenix Tower, have an imposing look. The most unique feature here is the Street of the Eight Diagrams, an architectural wonder of the Ming Dynasty lying just below the pass. A labyrinth meant to confuse and entrap invading armies, this fortification design is based on the ancient trigrams of the Book of Changes.

Transfer back to hotel after the whole day tour.

Simatai Great Wall-Jinshanling Great Wall

Day 3.

Be picked up from hotel at 08:30 am.

Drive 2.5 hours to Simatai Great Wall. Hiking 5 hours from Simatai Great Wall to Jinshanling Great Wall.

Simatai Great Wall has only been partially repaired and so maintains a more original appearance. It is 5.4km long with 35 watchtowers. Simatai Great Wall is reputed by its five unique features: perilous, dense, diverse, artful and peculiar. Simatai Great Wall is a favorite place for explorer, photographers, climbers and hikers.

Jinshanling Great Wall was built from 1368 to 1389 during the Ming Dynasty. It is a remote section of the Great Wall with many original features. Jinshanling Great Wall is 11km long with more than 100 watch towers. And it is second only to the Badaling Great Wall in its completeness.

Transfer back to hotel after the whole day tour.

Mutianyu Great Wall-Changping

Day 4.

Be picked up from hotel at 08:30 am.

Drive 2 hours to Mutianyu Great Wall.
Mutianyu was first built in the mid-6th century. It is the longest fully-restored Great Wall with 22 original style watchtowers. Mutianyu Great Wall features picturesque landscape with 90% forest coverage rate. The scenery in spring and autumn is excellent. Mutianyu Great Wall is not so crowded as Badaling section. Lunch box is provided.

Drive to Changping and check in Zhongshang Hotel (Add: Shuiku Rd, Changping City).

Dinner at Dayi restaurant.

Badaling Great Wall -Beijing

Day 5.

Be picked up from hotel at 08:30 am.

Drive to the Badaling Great Wall.  Badaling was built in 1505 during the Ming Dynasty. This section of the Great Wall is the best preserved and most visited one. It is 7600 meters long and 1000 meters above sea level, commanding a strategic position in ancient times.
Hiking approximately 4 hours along the most heavily visited portion of the Great Wall.

Drive one and half hours back to Beijing.

Tiananmen Square, Forbidden City, Lunch, Temple of Heaven, Summer Palace

Day 6.

Be picked up from hotel at 08:30 am.

Drive to Tiananmen Square -the largest public square in the world. Surrounded by many well-known cultural and political institutions, the square is the final resting place of Chairman Mao Zedong. The square has witnessed the founding of the People's Republic of China.

Form the north end of Tiananmen Square, we will enter the Forbidden City. Known as the Forbidden City, the Palace Museum is a treasure house of Chinese cultural and historical relics. The palace was the exclusive domain of the imperial court for almost 500 years. As one of the World Cultural Relics, the palace consists of 90 palaces and courtyards, 980 buildings and 8,704 rooms. Visit Forbidden City along the central axis from south to north for about 1.5 to 2 hours.

After lunch, drive 20 minutes to the Temple of Heaven. Built in 1420, Temple of Heaven is situated south of Beijing city. It is the best preserved and largest sacrificial building complex in the world. Have sightseeing in Temple of Heaven for about one hour.

Go to visit Summer Palace. Summer Palace was first built in 1750 by Emperor Qianlong in Qing Dynasty. It covers an area of 2.9 square kilometers, including 70,000 square meters of building space. Summer Palace perfectly combines the natural landscape of hills and open water with humankind works such as pavilions, halls, palaces and bridges. In 1998, UNESCO included the Summer Palace on its World Heritage List.

Be transferred back to your hotel after the whole day tour.

Olympic Park, Beijing Hutong, Tea Show

Day 7.

Be picked up from hotel at 08:30 am.

Drive to to visit the amazing Olympic venues- Bird Nest and Water Cube.
As the main stadium of the 2008 Olympic Games, the National Stadium, also called Bird's Nest, is located in the southern part of central area of Beijing Olympic Park. The National Stadium was used to hold the Olympic Games, the opening and closing ceremony of the Paralympic Games, track and field events and the Soccer finals.
National aquatics center is one of the landmark constructures during the 2008 Olympic Games. It was the major swimming pool constructed for the 2008 Olympic Games. National aquatics center and National Stadium are separately located on both sides of the northern end of Beijing city central axis and they together form a complete Beijing's image of a historical and cultural city.

After Lunch, move on to visit Beijing Hutongs. Hutongs are lanes or alleys formed by lines of Siheyuan (a compound with houses around a courtyard). Most of them were built during the Yuan (1206-1368), Ming (1368-1644) and Qing (1644-1908) dynasties surrounding the Forbidden City. Many famous operas and dramas are based on the themes of hutong life. Man-power rickshaw is arranged for you to feel the Hutong of Beijing.

Taste Chinese tea, enjoy Chinese tea ceremony and have a rest in a local tea house.
China is the hometown and birthplace of Chinese tea.
Being the national drinks of China, tea has a history of four to five thousand years.
Tea culture is one of the specific representative of Chinese culture.
