Brief Itinerary

  • Day 1. Xian Arrival, Da Cien Temple, Big Wild Goose Pagoda, Shaanxi History Museum, Daxingshan Temple.  
  • Day 2. Terracotta Warriors and Horses, Ancient City Wall, Wolong Temple.  
  • Day 3. Xianyang Museum, Famen Temple.  
  • Day 4. Xian Departure.  

Detailed Itinerary

  • Day 1. Xian Arrival, Da Cien Temple, Big Wild Goose Pagoda, Shaanxi History Museum, Daxingshan Temple.  

  • Arrive in Xian. Meet the guide with your name sign at the exit of the airport or train station.
    Head to visit Da Cien Temple and Big Wild Goose Pagoda. Da Cien Temple was the most famous and most splendid imperial temple in ancient Xian City. The Big Wild Goose Pagoda in the temple was built in 652 of Tang Dynasty to house the Buddhist materials that were taken from India by the eminent monk Xuanzang. The pagoda is a masterpiece of Buddhist pagodas.
  • Drive to Shaanxi History Museum, the first large state museum with modern facilities in China. The museum features an architectural style of the Tang Dynasty. It houses over 1,700,000 cultural relics, displaying the history and culture of Shaanxi province and ancient China.
    Move on to Daxingshan Temple, one of the oldest Buddhist temples in Xian. It is the birthplace of Chinese Tantric Buddhism. The main building are arranged on the north-south central axis, including Hall of Heavenly Kings, Mahavira Hall, Hall of the Goddess of Mercy, Eastern and western meditation hall, Dharma Hall, and so on.

  • Day 2. Terracotta Warriors and Horses, Ancient City Wall, Wolong Temple.  

  • Pick you up from hotel at 08:30 in the morning.
    Vist Terracotta Warriors and Horses Museum first. Be honored as the Eighth Great Wonder in the World, Terracotta Warriors and Horses is a part of the Mausoleum of the Emperor Qin Shihuang(259-210BC). You may find a strong military army with complete units and impressed by the ambition of the first emperor of China.
  • Then visit Ancient City Wall, one of the most important landmarks of Xian city. It was built in Ming Dynasty(1368-1644) for military defense. Ascending the wall, you will enjoy the good view of this city.
    Proceed to an old Buddhist temple, Wolong Temple. With a history of more than 1,800 years, Wolong Temple houses many stele stones. The most famous is the painting of Guanyin drawn by Wu Daozi in the Tang Dynasty.
    After tour, transfer you back to the hotel.

  • Day 3. Xianyang Museum, Famen Temple.  

  • Pick you up from hotel at 08:30 in the morning.
    Drive about 28 kilometers to Xianyang Museum focusing its exhibition on the historical relics of the Qin and the Han dynasties. The museum consists of 9 exhibition halls and 1 stele corridor.
  • Visit Famen Temple after lunch. With a history of over 1,700 years, Famen Temple is famous for housing the Sakyamuni's finger bone, the only remaining one in the world. More than 2,400 relics and treasures were discovered from underground palace of this ancient Buddhist temple.
    After tour, transfer you back to the hotel.
