Detailed Itinerary

  • Day 1. Tiananmen Square, Forbidden City, Jingshan Park, Beihai Park, Houhai Area and bar street.  

  • Be picked up from your hotel by English speaking tour guide and private vehicle at 08:30am.
    Proceed to Tiananmen Square. This world's largest city plaza has the important position for Chinese people. It was the site when in 1949, Chairman Mao announced the establishment of the People's Republic of China.
    Enter the Forbidden City from the north end of Tiananmen Square. Forbidden City is the largest palatial structure in the world. Many cultural and historical relics are displayed in the palace.
  • Move on to Jingshan Park. The park was used to be the imperial garden of the Forbidden City. The Jingshan Hill in the park is the best place to enjoy a bird's-eye vista of the whole Forbidden City.
    Then head to Beihai Park. With a history of about 1,000 years, the park is the oldest and best-preserved imperial garden in China. The ancient buildings and nature sceneries in the park are very attractive.
    Walk around in Houhai area. Houhai is a part of Shichahai Lake. The bar street in this area is famous in Beijing. Enjoy your evening time in this area.
    Take taxi back to hotel on your own.

  • Day 2. Badaling Great Wall, outside view of Bird Nest and Water Cube, Xiushui Market.   

  • Be picked up from your hotel by English speaking tour guide and private vehicle at 08:30am.
    Drive to the best preserved section of China great wall, Badaling. Badaling Great Wall is close Beijing city and featured with magnificent architectures and breathtaking nature scenery. Cable car is optional at your own expense.
  • Then head to Olympic Park to take an outside view of Bird Nest and Water Cube. You will be amazed by the unique structures of these two main venues for the Beijing Olympics of 2008.
    Proceed to the Xiushui Market. Also known as Silk Market or Silk Street, Xiushui Market is a popular shopping place closed to embassy area. You can find the various silk products and other items here, including many chinese traditional items.
    Be transferred back to the hotel after the tour.

  • Day 3. Temple of Heaven, Huguosi Snack Street, Summer Palace.  

  • Be picked up from your hotel by English speaking tour guide and private vehicle at 08:30am.
    Firstly visit Temple of Heaven. The temple was built in 1420 used for emperors of the Ming and Qing dynasties(1368-1912) to perform worship to the God of Heaven and pray for good harvests. It is the best preserved and largest sacrificial building complex in the world.
    Then go to Huguosi Street to discover Beijing local snack for Lunch. Many food shops with Beijing style architecture line up along west part of street and some celebrities' former residences, Courtyards in the east part. Walking alone the street, visitors can taste different types of snack food and know about the Beijing folk culture.
  • Move on to Summer Palace. Featured with the natural landscape and ancient structures, Summer Palace is the largest imperial garden of China and was included the World Heritage Sites by UNESCO in 1998.
    Be transferred back to the hotel after the tour.

  • Day 4. China Garden Museum, Beijing Zoo (Panda), Beijing Hutong (Rickshaw), Beijing Roast Duck, Beijing Acrobatic Show.  

  • Be picked up from your hotel by English speaking tour guide and private vehicle at 08:30am.
    Drive to China Garden Museum. The museum is an international cultural center displaying the art of garden and landscape architecture. It is the first national museum of its kind in China.
  • After lunch, head to Beijing Zoo to see giant pandas. Panda is the national treasure of China and loved by the people from all over the world.
    Proceed to Beijing Hutong. Hutong are narrow lanes surrounded by traditional courtyard residences. With a history of over 700 years, Beijing Hutong is the embodiment of Beijing's ancient culture. Take a rickshaw to explore these old alleys.
  • For dinner, you will have Beijing Roast Duck. Originating from imperial court menus of Ming Dynasty, Roast Duck is one of the traditional dishes of Beijing.
    Then go to enjoy the fantastic Acrobatic Show. Acrobatics is a performing art combining outstanding feats, gorgeous choreographer and color. It has been existent in China for more than two thousand years.
    Be transferred back to the hotel after the show.
