Beijing Five Days Private Spring Tour

Detailed Itinerary

• Day 1. Beijing Arrival.  
• 
  Upon arrival at Beijing airport or train station, your guide will greet you at the exit. Drive you to the hotel and help you check in.
  Remainder of the day is at leisure.

• Day 2. Tiananmen Square, Forbidden City, Temple of Heaven, Beihai Park, Houhai Area.  
• 
  Pick you up from your hotel lobby at 08:30am.
  Firstly visit Tiananmen Square. The square has witnessed the founding of the new China. It is the largest downtown square in the world.
  Move on to Forbidden City, the imperial palace during the Ming and Qing dynasties(1368-1911). It is the world's largest palace complex and was listed as the World Cultural Relics. The red walls and glazed tiles combine the pear and blossoms in the spring, making the ancient palaces more charming.
• Proceed to Temple of Heaven. The Temple of Heaven is the largest sacrificial building complex in the world. It was built in 1420 for emperors of Ming and Qing Dynasties prayed for peace and harvest. There are more than 150 Apricot trees in the temple.
  Head to Beihai Park. The park was the royal garden of the Jin, Yuan, Ming and Qing Dynasties(1115-1912). You can enjoy the classic gardens, magnificent palaces and ancient temples. In the spring, The park is full of blooming flowers.
  Then walk around in Houhai area. Houhai is one of the three parts of Shichaihai Lake. It is surrounded by traditional residences of old Beijing. The ducks are playing in the lake. The winter jasmines and new green leaves of the willow trees make you refresh.
  Transfer you back to the hotel after the tour.

• Day 3. Mutianyu Great Wall, Summer Palace.   
• 
  Pick you up from your hotel lobby at 08:30am.
  Head to visit Mutianyu Great Wall. With a history of 1400 years, Mutianyu is one of the most famous and best preserved sections of China Great Wall. Peach and apricot blossoms are blooming on the sides of the wall and the scenery is particularly amazing.
• Then visit Summer Palace. Known as the "Museum of Royal Gardens", Summer Palace is the largest imperial garden of China with hills, open water and ancient architectures. The peach flowers in the garden bloom earlier and more vigorously than other places in Beijing.
  Transfer you back to the hotel after the tour.

• Day 4. Beijing Botanical Garden, Outside view of Bird Nest and Water Cube, Beijing Hutong, Taoranting Park, Beijing Roast Duck Dinner, Acrobatic Show.  
• 
  Pick you up from your hotel lobby at 08:30am.
  Drive to Beijing Botanical Garden. The garden cultivates 6,000 species of plant, including 500 species of flowers and 1,900 kinds of fruit trees. It is one of the good places to appreciate the flowers in springtime.
  Then go to Olympic Park to have an outside view of Bird Nest and Water Cube. The unique structures of these two main venues for the Beijing Olympics of 2008 are the engineering marvels in the world.
• After lunch, proceed to Beijing Hutong. You'll take a rickshaw through narrow alleys to explore the the culture and daily life of the past in Beijing.
  Move on to Taoranting Park in Qing Dynasty(1644-1912). The park contains 36 pavilions, including ten full sized replicas of well-known pavilions in China. Midget crabapple, pear, peony and other flowers in full bloom decorate these elegant pavilions.
• For dinner, you will taste the authentic Beijing dish, Roast Duck. Whole duck is roasted in oven before it was peel into about 120 thin slices, each containing both meat and skin.
  Enjoy the Acrobatic Show at night. You can the top level acrobat skill including outstanding feats, beautiful choreography, color and excitement.
  Transfer you back to the hotel after the tour.

• Day 5. Beijing Departure.

  Pick you up from hotel transfer to the airport or train station to see off.
