Detailed Itinerary

• Day 1. Airport or train station pick-up.

  Upon arrival at Beijing airport or train station, you will find your guide waiting at the exit.
  Transfer you to hotel for check in.

• Day 2. Tiananmen Square, Forbidden City, National Museum, Beihai Park.  
• 
  Pick up from your hotel at 08:30am.
  Drive to the largest public square in the world, Tiananmen Square. The square is the place where many political and historical events took place. It has witnessed the founding of the new China.
  Move on to Forbidden City. Known as "Zijingcheng" in ancient china, it was the royal palace for up to 500 years. The palace is the largest palatial structure in the world.
• Proceed to National Museum after lunch. The museum is the largest single-building museum in the world. It houses more than 1.4 million collections, including stone tools, jade, porcelain, bronzes, coins, Buddhist sculptures, furniture of Ming and Qing Dynasty, Chinese Calligraphy and Paintings, and so on.
  Then head to Beihai Park. Besides the lakes, hills, pavilions and towers, this oldest imperial garden is the best place to enjoy the lotuses in summer.
  Escort you back to the hotel after the tour.

• Day 3. Summer Palace, Capital Museum, Mutianyu Great Wall.

  Pick up from your hotel at 08:30am.
  Visit Summer Palace in the morning. Once the summer resort of emperors and his family during the Qing Dynasty(1644-1912), Summer Palace is the best-preserved and largest royal garden existing in China. We will have a cruise on the Kunming Lake to appreciate the ancient bridges and nature scenery.
• Then visit Capital Museum. This comprehensive museum displays the history and culture of Beijing city from different regions. You won't feel the summer heat in the air-conditioned exhibition halls.
  Afterwards, drive about 1.5 hours to Mutianyu Great Wall. Covered with flourish grasses and dense forests, Mutianyu is the longest fully-restored Great Wall with 23 original watchtowers. You can take cable car to the top of the wall on your own cost.

• Day 4. Stone Flower Cave, Temple of Heaven, Beijing Hutong, Houhai Area.

  Pick up from your hotel at 08:30am.
  Driver to visit Stone Flower Cave locates about 50 kilometers from the urban area of Beijing. It is very cool in the cave. Stone Flower Cave(also called Shihua Cave) is one of the four limestone caves in China. Many stone flowers formed by stalagmite and stalactite can be found.
  Drive back to downtown to have lunch.
• Visit Temple of Heaven in the afternoon. Featuring precise structure and magnificent decoration, the temple is the largest sacrificial building complex in the world and one of the World Cultural Relics.
  Head to Beijing Hutong in Shichahai area. These narrow lanes are the embodiment of Beijing's ancient culture. Take a rickshaw to discover the traditional courtyard compounds(Siheyuan) and feel the life style of old Beijingers.
  Then visit Houhai area, a part of the Shichahai. This area is a well-known place for relaxing and escaping the summer heat. The bar street here are popular among travelers.
