Detailed Itinerary

  • Day 1. Arrive in Beijing.  

  • Meet your guide with your name sign at the exit of the airport or railway station.
    Transfer you to the hotel.

  • Day 2. Tiananmen Square, Forbidden City, Temple of Heaven, Beihai Park.  

  • Your guide will pick you up from hotel at 08:30am. Start your tour with Tiananmen Square, the sites where many political and historical events took place. The square is the largest city plaza in the world.
    Then go on to Forbidden City. Being the world's largest palace complex, Forbidden City was the imperial palace during the Ming and Qing dynasties(1368-1911). Enjoy the red walls and glazed tiles against colorful flowers.
  • Move on to Temple of Heaven, the largest ancient sacrificial building complex in the world. The main buildings are Circular Mound Altar, Imperial Vault of Heaven and the Hall of Prayer for Good Harvest. The temple also boasts for the largest apricot grove in the downtown Beijing.
    Head to Beihai Park. The park is one of the best of China's classical gardens with artificial hills, pavilions, halls, temples and covered corridors. In spring, all kinds of lowers are full blossoms. You can enjoy one of the eight views of old Beijing, "Spring Shade over Qiong Islet".
    Transfer you back to the hotel after the tour.

  • Day 3. Mutianyu Great Wall, Summer Palace.   

  • Your guide will pick you up from hotel at 08:30am.
    Drive about 1.5 hours to Mutianyu Great Wall. China's great wall is one of the seven wonders in the world. Mutianyu is the longest fully-restored section with 23 original watchtowers. From a distance, the great wall looks like a winding dragon lying in a sea of pink flowers. Cable car is available for optional.
  • Visit Summer Palace in the afteroon. Featured with the natural landscape and ancient structures, Summer Palace is the largest imperial garden of China. More than 1,800 peach trees in the garden bloom in March.
    Transfer you back to the hotel after the tour.

  • Day 4. Beijing Botanical Garden, Jingshan Park, Beijing Hutong, Houhai Area.  

  • Your guide will pick you up from hotel at 08:30am.
    Firstly visit Beijing Botanical Garden. Covers an area of 564,000 square meters, it is the largest botanical garden in North China. The annual Peach Blossom Festival in the garden has become one of the important flower-viewing traditions in spring of Beijing. You can find 1.5 million spring flowers of nearly 100 species such as peach blossoms, plum blossoms, tulips, begonias, and peonies.
  • Then visit Jingshan Park. The top of Jinshan Hill in the park is the best place to have a panorama of Forbidden City. The tulips and peonies in the park are also attractive.
    Go on to Beijing Hutong in Shichahai area. These narrow alleys formed by the traditional courtyard compounds (Siheyuan) reflect the culture of the past in Beijing. Take a rickshaw to experience the folk custom and life style of local residents.
    Take a walking around Houhai Area. The bar street in this area is famous in Beijing.

  • Day 5. Zhongshan Park, Taoranting Park, Xiushui Market, Beijing Roast Duck Dinner, Acrobatic Show.

    Drive to visit Zhongshan Park. The park was originally an imperial garden that houses the Altar of Earth and Grain. Besides the ancient imperial buildings, Zhongshan Park is famous for the tulips presented by the Princess of Holland in 1977, orchids from the 1960s and plum trees first planted in Beijing.
    Proceed to Taoranting Park. As a historical and cultural park, Taoranting Park combines hills, lakes, ancient temple and the most typical pavilions in China. Walking along the lake srrounded by the green willows and red flowers, you will feel totally relaxing.
  • Head to Xiushui Market. This is the most popular markets among foreign travelers. The main products cover clothing, carpets, bedding, suitcases, hats, leather shoes, electronics, watches, glasses, jewelry, crafts and toy.
  • Have Beijing Roast Duck for dinner. Roast Duck is one of the most representative local dish in Beiijing.
    After dinner, move on to watch Acrobatic Show. As one of the most popular art forms in China, acrobatics presents the strength, balance, flexibility and endurance beauty of human body.
    Transfer you back to the hotel after the show.
