Detailed Itinerary

• Day 1. Arrival at Beijing.  
• 
  Upon your arrival at Beijing airport or train station, you will be met by the guide holding a sign with your name at the exit.
  Be transferred to the hotel for check in.

• Day 2. Outside view of National Grand Theater, Tiananmen Square, Forbidden City, Summer Palace, outside view of Bird Nest and Water Cube.  
• 
  Be picked up from your hotel by your private guide at 08:30am.
  Drive to Tiananmen Square. We will stop at National Grand Theater on the way. Surrounded by artificial lake, the theater is a titanium accented glass dome like an egg floating on water.
  Walk around on Tiananmen Square. This world's largest city plaza is the political center of China. It is surrounded by many well-known cultural and political buildings.
  Move to Forbidden City, also called "Palace Museum ". With a history of over 600 years, Forbidden City was the imperial palace during the Ming and Qing dynasties(1368-1911). It is the largest and best-preserved palace complex in the world.
• After lunch, proceed to Summer Palace. Combining the natural scenery and more than 100 ancient structures, Summer Palace is the world's best-preserved imperial garden.
  Head to Olympic Park, the main venues of the 2008 Beijing Olympic Games. Have an outside view of Bird Nest and Water Cube. These two main stadiums have become the new landmarks of Beijing.
  Be sent back to the hotel by private vehicle after the tour.

• Day 3. Mutianyu Great Wall, 798 Art Zone, Wangfujing Street.

  Be picked up from your hotel by your private guide at 08:30am.
  Firstly head to the famous Mutianyu Great Wall, the longest fully-restored section of China Wall. Covered with flourish grasses and dense forests, 23 original watchtowers and other ancient constructions are distributed along the wall.
• Proceed to 798 Art Zone in the afternoon. You can find many galleries, art centers, design studios, restaurants and bars in the original factory buildings with features of Bauhaus style.
  Move on to the busiest commercial area in Beijing, Wangfujing Street. Besides world-famous brands, many traditional items can be bought in the time honored stores.
  Be sent back to the hotel by private vehicle after the tour.

• Day 4. Beijing Zoo(Panda), Beijing Hutong, Xiushui Market.

  Be picked up from your hotel by your private guide at 08:30am.
  Proceed to Beijing Zoo, the biggest zoo in China so far with the largest number of animal species. We will visit Panda House. The lovely giant pandas are the national treasure of China.
  Move on to Beijing Hutong. Take a rickshaw through these old lanes to explore the traditional residences and the life style of past Beijing. Every hutong has its own story.
• In the afternoon, we will discover a well-known market closed to embassy area, Xiushui Market. The market offers over 1600 stalls with many different kinds of goods, especially silk products.

• Day 5. Temple of Heaven, Hongqiao Market, Beihai Park.  
• 
  Be picked up from your hotel by your private guide at 08:30am.
  Drive to Temple of Heaven. Strictly built on the basis of philosophical requirements, Temple of Heaven is the largest sacrificial building complex in the world. It was built in 1420 used for emperors to offer sacrifices to heaven.
• Then visit Hongqiao Market. Except famous pearls, the market offers the usual clothes, bags, shoes, binoculars, cameras, coral, electronics, etc.
  Head to Beihai Park. The park was the royal garden of the Jin, Yuan, Ming and Qing Dynasties(1115-1912). The highlights of the park include Beihai Lake, Nine Dragon Screen, White Pagoda and Five- Dragon Pavilions.
