  • Day 2. Dongyue Taoist Temple, Beihai Park, Tiananmen Square, Forbidden City.  
  • Day 3. Temple of Heaven, Jingshan Park, Houhai Area, Huodezhenjun Taoist Temple, Beijing Hutong.  
  • Day 4. Lvzugong Temple, Summer Palace, Capital Museum, Acrobatic Show.  
  • Day 5. Mutianyu Great Wall, Baiyunguan Taoist Temple.

Detailed Itinerary

  • Day 1. Arrival at Beijing.  

  • Upon arrival at Beijing airport or train station, you will find your guide waiting at the exit.

  • Day 2. Dongyue Taoist Temple, Beihai Park, Tiananmen Square, Forbidden City.  

  • Your guide will pick you up from hotel at 08:30am and accompany you to Dongyue Taoist Temple. The temple is one of the largest Taoist temples in northern China, with a history of more than 600 years. It is also a museum themed on folk custom of old Beijing.
    Then visit Beihai Park. The park is the oldest imperial garden in China, combining lakes and hills, ancient buildings, towers, trees and flowers.
  • Proceed to Tiananmen Square in the afternoon. Tiananmen Square is the largest downtown square in the world. It is the political center of China and has the important position for Chinese people.
    Move on to Forbidden City, the imperial palace during the Ming and Qing dynasties(1368-1911). The palace is the world's largest palace complex and the treasure house of Chinese cultural and historical relics.

  • Day 3. Temple of Heaven, Jingshan Park, Houhai Area, Huodezhenjun Taoist Temple, Beijing Hutong.  

  • Your guide will pick you up from hotel at 08:30am.
    Visit Temple of Heaven firstly. With a history of over 600 years, Temple of Heaven is the largest sacrificial building complex in the world featuring precise structure and magnificent decoration. It was built for emperors of Ming and Qing Dynasties to communicate with the gods and pray for good harvest.
    Then head to Jingshan Park. The park is a royal garden with charming scenery. The biggest peony garden is Beijing is in the park. From the top of Jinshan Hill, you can enjoy the bird-view of Forbidden City.
  • After lunch, proceed to Houai area. A large willow-lined waterway is enclosed by various bars, cafes and restaurants. It is a good place to taste local food and enjoy night life in Beijing.
    Move on to Huodezhenjun Taoist Temple. Taoist First built in 632, the temple is the biggest and oldest temple sacrificing the God of the fire.
    Visit Beijing Hutong, which shows the culture and life style of old Beijing. Take a man-made rickshaw through the narrow lanes to discover the traditional residences.

  • Day 4. Lvzugong Temple, Summer Palace, Capital Museum, Acrobatic Show.  

  • Your guide will pick you up from hotel at 08:30am.
    Discover a well-preserved Taoist temple of Quanzhen School, Lvzugong Temple. It is the place where Beijing Taoist Association is located.
    Then proceed to Summer Palace, the best-preserved imperial garden in the world. Perfectly combines the natural scenery and ancient structures, Summer Palace was the summer resort for the emperors of Qing Dynasty(1644-1911).
  • Drive to Capital Museum after lunch. This comprehensive museum houses 5,622 exhibitions of different kinds concerning history, cultural relics, revolutionary history and folk custom, etc.
    Move on to enjoy Acrobatic Show. It is a performing art that includes a variety of physical abilities and techniques. You will be amazed by the performers' strength, balance, flexibility and endurance beauty of human body.

  • Day 5. Mutianyu Great Wall, Baiyunguan Taoist Temple.

    Drive to Mutianyu Great Wall. As one of the seven wonders in the world, Great Wall is a must-see attraction when you travel in Beijing. Covered with flourish grasses and dense forests, Mutianyu is the longest fully-restored section. 23 original watchtowers and other ancient constructions are closely packed on wall.
  • Visit Baiyunguan Taoist Temple in the afternoon. As one of the three "ancestral courts" of the Quanzhen School of Taoism, Baiyunguan Temple houses many valued cultural relics, including Ming Zhengtong Daozang, Stone Statue of Lao Zi of Tang Dynasty, and Stone Carving of Yuan Dynasty.
    Then find various Taoist supplies in a street near Baiyunguan Temple.
