Three Days Guilin and Xingan Culture Tour

Detailed Itinerary

• Day 1. Reach Guilin, Reed Flute Cave, Elephant Trunk Hill.  
• 
  Be met by your private guide at the exit of airport or train station upon you arrive in Guilin.
  Drive to visit Reed Flute Cave. Known as "the Palace of Natural Arts", Reed Flute Cave is a spectacular world of various stalactites and stone pillars formed from 180 million years ago. Besides the stalactites with different shapes, you can find more than 70 ink inscriptions in the cave.
  Then visit Elephant Trunk Hill located on the western bank of Li River. The shape of the hill is just like a huge elephant drinking water from the river with its trunk. Between the trunk and the legs is Water-Moon Cave. There are more than 50 inscriptions on the wall of the cave.

• Day 2. Xingan: Ling Canal, Water Street, Qin Family's Courtyard.  
• 
  Be met by your private guide from hotel at 08:30am.
  Drive to Xingan to visit Ling Canal. Ling Canal is one of the oldest artificial waterways in the world, with more than 2200 years history. Walking alone the canal to enjoy nature scenery and cultural relics.
  Then visit Water Street built along the Li Canal. The street displays the culture of architecture of Qin and Han Dynasties, the culture of ancient bridges, the culture of ancient sculpture, the history of Ling Canal and the local custom of Ling'nan.
• Afterwards, proceed to Qin Family's Courtyard. It is a typical example of Chinese ancient architecture of Ming and Qing dynasties. The courtyard consists of 23 buildings with huge stone foundations, brick walls, well-decorated tiles and elegantly carved window frames and doors.
  Be transferred back to hotel in Guilin after the tour.

• Day 3. Diecai Hill, Seven Star Park, Jingjiang Palace, Duxiu Peak, Depart from Guilin.

  Be met by your private guide from hotel at 08:30am.
  Drive to visit Diecai Hill. The hill is known for its amazing scenery, unique pavilions and Buddhist sculptures. The main attractions include Diecai Pavilion, Yuyue Pavilion, Wind Cave, Wangjiang Pavilion, Huanbi Garden, Mulong Cave and Cloud-Catching Pavilion.
  Move on to Seven Star Park, the biggest comprehensive park in Guilin. Combining mountains, water, caves, stones, courtyards, buildings, and cultural relics, the park is regarded as the epitome of Guilin's landscape.
• After lunch, head to visit Jingjiang Palace and Duxiu Peak.
  Jingjiang Palace was built in Ming Dynasty(1368-1644) as a palace for grandson of Ming Emperor Zhu Yangzhang and took 20 years to complete. It was used to be the Guangxi Examination House in Qing Dynasty (1644-1912). You have chance to experience the 'Imperial Examination of ancient China'.
  Duxiu Peak in the Jingjiang Palace is one of the three main peaks in Guilin. The top of the peak is the best place to have a panoramic view of Guilin city. There are many tablets and stone inscriptions on the peak.
  Afterwards, be transferred to the airport or train station to connect your flight.
